Firstly, the Sunderland Forum is all about local issues. The City of Sunderland obviously includes, Washington, Houghton and Hetton. However, we allow news, views and gossip from all areas surrounding Wearside.

Aye Southwick Green looks nice but I remember the Christmas tree being far bigger, or is it me just being an old git
Like the words to a famous song ... when I was small, and Christmas trees were tall ;)

Not been to the sea front since the illuminations, do the council leave any lights up there for Christmas?

Yes, they leave them on along the sea front in the Roker area.
There are Christmas lights in Whitburn and Cleadon villages too.
The Christmas tree in Cleadon is canny big.
