2017 General Election Update For Sunderland

Firstly, the Sunderland Forum is all about local issues. The City of Sunderland obviously includes, Washington, Houghton and Hetton. However, we allow news, views and gossip from all areas surrounding Wearside.

I vote for a spoilt paper.
Make sure it's not obscene, they do show them to the candidates after the count to ensure the candidates agree that they are spoiled.
I just voted by the way but not saying who for :neenar:

The three Sunderland Labour MP's were again returned as most would predict.
However, there was a few percent swing to Conservative.
I might have the day off today!

I am really surprised that Niall Hodson didn't do too well for the Liberals.
He does have a good reputation as an active councillor. So that's a shame.
I guess this two party thingy isn't a good thing.
What was that you said again?

Up and down the country it seems we went back to two parties, Conservative and Labour.

The way things are going don't be surprised if we either have a new prime minister or indeed another general election.
I might have the day off today!

Nah we won't get either soon. Let's see what Brexit brings then then take it from there. It looks like Brexit is going to be a sloppy mess though.
