Weather On Wearside - WOW

Firstly, the Sunderland Forum is all about local issues. The City of Sunderland obviously includes, Washington, Houghton and Hetton. However, we allow news, views and gossip from all areas surrounding Wearside.

Weather On Wearside - WOW

I needed to pop out earlier since we ran out of sugar so I had to go on the hunt.
The weather out there is bad.
Its blizzard conditions, nee kidding.
Loads of cars stuck and roads not even gritted.
When there's no snow or ice you see the gritters but not in these conditions, so it seems cos I couldn't see any evidence to the contrary.
Snow is about 4 inches deep all over.
Glad I am back home.
I might have the day off today!

When it all came down there was done nasty snow drifts on the A19 and A690 on the way from Sunderland to Durham. Then there was some random ones dotted all over the place where the roads bordered the big fields. Put a load of us on holiday for a week 8-)
